Why cash comps are popular
Cash is simple. No car to sell, no watch to insure. Most UK cash prizes are paid tax-free, and many item prizes come with a cash alternative too. We show both here.
How we rank them
Prize first, then odds. We group comps by prize size and rank each group by projected odds at the draw. A £250 cash comp at 1 in 90 sits in its own band, so it never hides a £5,000 comp at 1 in 400.
Penny and 0p entries, site credit and prizes under £100 never top a band.
Questions
Are cash competition prizes tax-free?
In the UK, prize winnings are usually not taxed. Always check the comp's own terms.
What is a cash alternative?
An offer to take money instead of the item prize. The amount is set by the comp site, so check it before you enter.
Which cash competitions have the best odds?
The ones at the top of our live list. They are ranked by projected odds at the draw, updated every few minutes.
